Objectifs :
This workshop aims to develop and strengthen graduate students’ English language and communication skills in order to plan and deliver an effective scientific presentation.
Divided into four 3-hour sessions and following the chronological stages of a presentation, students will be taken through the sequences of planning, closing, opening and handling questions and answers sessions so as to break down the often-daunting task of preparing a presentation into more manageable steps.
This workshop focuses on the importance of clear pronunciation, intonation in English, voice projection and the importance of body language in front of an audience.

Programme :
WEEK 1 – Intro to Public Speaking, Breaking Down Oral Presentations in Scientific English
WEEK 2 – Informative Speech, Opening & Closing, Storytelling
WEEK 3 – Persuasive Speech, Rapport Building & Impact Techniques
WEEK 4 – Q&A and Debate, Arguments, Networking

Formation de perfectionnement pour niveau intermédiaire (B1-B2)
- Doctorants et Post-Doctorants

Compétences acquises à l'issue de la formation :
La formation se déroule sur 4 séances hebdomadaires de 3h.
Des exercices et du matériel de travail seront fournis lors des séances.
Les doctorants sont invités à présenter un projet de communication pour un colloque, un congrès ou une journée d’études
